Information on Wheelchair Accessible Attractions, Activities and Accommodation
We are a voluntary group of wheelchair users and carers and we provide free information on accessible places to visit and things to do. This is based on actual visits by a wheelchair user to assess how wheelchair friendly places are.

We know how difficult it can be to make the effort to get ready to go out for a day and how disappointing it is if when you get to your destination you can’t even get up the steps at the entrance! It is even worse if you are going on holiday and the hotel entrance has a flight of steps and a bath instead of a wheel-in shower.

So many places are self assessed and no one has actually tried to push a wheelchair around or tried to squeeze a wheelchair and a carer into a very cramped so called accessible toilet. We only include places that we feel are really accessible.

We have tried to be as accurate as we can and although some of our researchers are able to stand or take a couple of steps, when assessing we assume that the person visiting does not have that ability.

Please note most of our researchers have standard size wheelchairs ie 26 inches wide, you may have more difficulty if you have a large powered chair.
